I am so happy to report that I am almost at the end of my recovery. We are so very thankful! My energy is back, I can eat more things, I don't need medicine as often, things are altogether 100% better than they were just 5 months ago.
Thank you to those who were supportive during this time. It means so much to have people understand and care about me (and Richie). While you would think everyone would be supportive of someone who is sick, they are not. This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way, but it made me appreciate those who are supportive that much more. So a million thanks to everyone who listened, called, emailed, prayed and was just all around wonderful. I am truly blessed!

We are fam-i-ly & Meal Plan Monday
Richie's parents are heading our way! They should arrive on Thursday from California. I spent some time this weekend cleaning, getting a guest room ready, and planning out our meals. Double Decker is also this coming weekend. See here for a few pics from previous Double Decker Art Festivals.
A day early, here is Meal Plan Monday. Lots of yummy things this week. I know I promised recipes last week. I'm hoping I can get my behind in gear to post them this week :)
M- ravioli with homemade sauce and garlic bread
T and W- tacos with ground turkey
Th- pork tenderloin, rice and friend corn
F- out to dinner!
S- grilled turkey tenderloin, pasta salad, corn soufle
Corn soufle- BEST recipe ever, super easy, total crowd pleaser
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease an 11x13 clear baking dish with butter
Whisk one egg, then mix in 1 can regular corn (drained) and 1 can creamed corn
Add 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin mix and 8 oz sour cream
Mix all together and spread evenly in dish (I mix everything in the baking dish to save dirty dishes)
Bake 40-50 minutes and enjoy!

T-15 Days
Amazingly, I only have 15 more days of instruction with my students. Included in those days are the reading celebration day, awards day, and a presentation. I can't believe the year is almost over! And I can't believe I only have to do lesson plans for 15 (or less!) more days. YAY!
Thursday night was Open House for rising 6th graders. We had a huge turnout and the students were awesome! Definitely looks like next year's group will be fantastic. We all have our fingers crossed :)
I'm not sure what I'll be teaching next year. At first I was nervous about teaching English, but I've come to love it. Plus I have the year already planned, so next year will be a cinch! I also really like the other two English teachers, and I would like to continue to work with them again. With all that said, the principal asked if I would want to teach another subject, and I told him I would move wherever he needed me. I have my fingers crossed to stay with English, though.
Only 29 days until Summer Break! Woo hoo!

Happy News!
Richie's brother, Byran, is engaged! His fiance is the sweetest girl out there. We are so excited for both Byran (also known as Verne) and Mayia. Congrats and we wish you many years of happiness together!
