T2 is my hero!

One of our friends, Tim (also known as T2), is an athletic trainer for the football team. He is hilarious and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Unfortunately, Richie and Brian like to pick on him about everything from his height (he is slightly petite) to his choice in women (the more kids the better for T2). After last night, I will not partake in ragging on him ever again. He has magic hands.

My back and neck have been exceptionally sore this week. T2 immediately took charge and started stretching, cracking and adjusting my neck and back. Oh what a wonderful feeling!! This guy is truly, truly talented. Thank you for fixing me!! If only you were around to fix me every evening...hmm...need a place to live?? :)

Jillian Needs

This is pretty funny. If you have time, try it out!

Type in your name and the word "needs" in quotes ("[Your first name] needs”) INTO YOUR FAVORITE SEARCH ENGINE and see what comes up. List the first 10 and then tag 10 or more of your friends.

1. Jillian needs her tonsils and adenoids out.
2. Jillian needs to know that her mind has not caught up with the rest of the country.
3. Jillian needs to get her own style and she needs to stop dressing like she's 23 and on the Hills.
4. Jillian needs a championship push.
5. Jillian needs her baths.
6. Jillian needs to be more hyper.
7. Jillian needs a middle name. (Odd, I actually don't have a middle name!!)
8. Jillian needs to re-do her job description.
9. Jillian needs a stud. (bwahahaha- this is for a web site about breeding dogs)
10. Jillian needs to be the next bachelorette.

Valentine's Day

My dad and Richie are so much alike. Both neglected to get my mom and me cards for Valentine's Day and both felt very bad. Richie offered "the best foot rub ever" as a consolation (hey, that's better than a card!) and my dad picked out a card for my mom while we were shopping, gave it to her to read, and then put it back. :)

Yay!

My parents are here! My parents are here! I'm so excited to see my mom and dad. I've missed them so much lately. Now if we can just secure a teaching job for my dad, we can start planning their move to Oxford. Keep your fingers crossed!!

I'm off to spend the day with my momma and dad.

Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day!

Puzzles!

Richie's new habit is putting together jigsaw puzzles. He even purchased some handy-dandy completed puzzle holder thing. You know, so that he can look back fondly on his hard work whenever the mood so strikes.

I love it because I can sit here next to my husband and play on the computer while he works diligently on his puzzle, all while Frasier plays in the background. It is truly a wonderful way to spend our evenings. I was a little disheartened when we told the doctor about this and she laughed. I think she thought we were joking, but we really enjoy it! You don't have to hold back, I see how nerdy this is :)

Here is Richie's most recently completed project and his new one (he said no pics with him in it but I'm working on sneaking one):

I love my husband!

McCarty

I absolutely love McCarty pottery. This was something that I didn't know existed until I moved to Oxford. When my mom and I went to Oxford Floral to set up my registry, the helpful sales lady asked if I was interested in McCarty. We took a quick look, not realizing what it was, and I said sure.

Fast forward to later in the year, and I kept hearing people talk about McCarty. Finally, I received my first piece (well, pieces) of McCarty at my work shower. My work shower had an ABC theme, fitting for a teacher, and a bunch of people went in on McCarty soup bowls for 'alphabet soup.' Too cute! This gift started my obsession.

I have since received as gifts a platter, a vase, the bowl in my guest bath, the green plate holding my napkins, one of the small bowls, two medium bowls, a round, blue platter, and a wind chime from my wonderful hubby. I've purchased for myself the salt and pepper bowls and a medium-sized pitcher. I've given as gifts countless pieces. I can't say enough how much I love McCarty! If only I had enough money to add to my collection. True love :)

My entire collection (minus the wind chime).

Most pieces sit in my china hutch unless I'm using them.

I love this bowl! It is my mom's but I am temporarily borrowing it until she moves to Oxford :)

Another favorite bowl. One day I will get around to putting hand towels in it, but for now it just sits, looking pretty. Thanks, Andrea!

My salt and pepper bowls with handmade little spoons. Love 'em!

**Notice the black mark on each piece. If you don't know about McCarty, click on the link above to find out its significance. Be warned- you, too, might become addicted.

Meal Plan Monday

How exciting...in case anyone cares what I'm making this week:

W- leftover enchiladas and rice
TH- chicken soup
F- chicken soup again

So creative this week!
