One of the biggest changes I've noticed is how quickly Isaac picks up on things. For example, I've just started putting shoes on him this week. Yesterday when I was changing his diaper, I gave him a shoe to keep him occupied. He immediately held up his foot and tried to put the shoe on. And then last night I was counting his fingers. When I stopped, he took his right index finger and was trying to count the fingers on his left hand. Amazing!
Another development that really melts my heart is how he's started sharing. He'll be playing with something and he'll give it to me to see. Or if he's eating something, he'll give me a bite. Yesterday we were at a friend's house and Ike brought his teether toothbrush. The little girl picked it up and was banging it around. Ike took it from her and I thought he was going to get upset about her playing with it, but instead he put it in his mouth and then reached out to put it in her mouth like he was showing her how to use it. He is such a sweet, kindhearted little boy already! I love him to pieces!
With 5 new teeth in, his mouth feels really different I'm sure. He runs his tongue over his teeth all the time so it looks like he's sticking out his tongue. Thankfully this lasted only a little bit since I didn't always want him with his tongue hanging out.
As usual, we Skype with Grammy & PawPaw on the weekends. Grammy came out for a visit for a week or so and Isaac enjoyed her company. Grammy & PawPaw will both be here in May for a visit.
With the weather getting nicer, we've spent more time outdoors. Isaac loves swinging on the swing at Mimi & Grampy's house.
Isaac has gotten to the stage where he only wants to eat what he can feed himself. And sometimes feeding himself means he mushes up his food and gets it all over everything. But that's ok because he has so much fun and gets a good bit in his mouth too.
Ike will wave hello and goodbye, just never when you want him to do it.
A new thing Isaac started doing this month is opening doors. He'll open the door to wherever he wants to go and just crawl on through. He even stands up and reaches for the handle. He's such a smart little guy!

Speaking of standing up, he has stood by himself several times now and tried to take a step this past week. He loves standing and seeing things from a different view.
