10 months

As I set Isaac up to take his 10 month pictures, I realized he'd learned a new skill. He started playing peek-a-boo (& not just the baby kind where you put the blanet over him-- he put the blanket up & pulled it down all by himself!). Uh-oh! Where'd Ike go?(& please excuse the stains on his onesie. It's hard to keep a little boy clean.)

There he is!
Isaac continues his love of reading. Reading books is one activity that will quell just about any crying, fussiness, unhappiness. Sometimes he wants me to read the same page over & over (& over), but that's what moms do, right? (Even when all the page says is "A sheep says BAA.")

He also started playing more by himself. He can entertain himself for probably 10 minutes now. He still wants to be able to look up and see someone, but he'll bang things and play with things all on his own. It's fun to see him start figuring out how things work.

In May, Grammy & PawPaw came for a visit. It was so much fun for them to be here when Ike's walking really took off. We enjoyed their visit very much.

Grammy & PawPaw brought along Emma for the trip. Isaac & Emma got along but we still had to keep them separated. Emma liked to play a little too rough.

We also had other guests come visit- Aunt Dela, Uncle Bernie & Teddy! Isaac loved playing with all the puppies! It's no wonder he's started saying "doh" (aka dog).

Mimi found my wagon from when I was little. We put Ike in it and he hasn't wanted to get out! He wants you to pull him around and around and around the house until you want your legs and arms to fall off. Unfortunately my old wagon isn't very safe or comfortable. We plan to upgrade Ike to a new wagon soon. We took Isaac to his very first Double Decker in May. We had a blast!

Isaac got a balloon and, well, I think this picture speaks for itself.

He thought he looked pretty cool in his outfit and sunglasses. As did many other people. (Even if Daddy did protest the babylegs.)

Uncle Steve, Uncle Mike, Kelly and Richie all enjoyed watching the NFL draft together. Isaac got in on the spirit by sporting his shirt that says "First Round Draft Pick." Maybe one day, son.

We also spent plenty of time with Richie's PawPaw. Isaac & he have a special bond.

For Mother's Day we went to the University Club for brunch. Richie got me flowers last year for Mother's Day but I was big & pregnant and on bedrest so not much happened. I really enjoyed getting to celebrate this year with my happy, smiling baby. Though I did miss that big pregnant belly.

I love my little family!
