Chicken Enchiladas & Rest

Richie requested I make chicken enchiladas for dinner, so I've got the chicken cooking away and all of the ingredients spread about. Hopefully they will be ready by the time he gets home.

I'm trying to take it easy because, well, I've set my recovery back. Naturally.

I was supposed to take it easy until my post-op next week. No lifting, resting, etc. for two weeks.

If you know me well, you know that wasn't going to happen.

I did good for the first 5 days, really. I stayed in bed, got out only for minor things (like our house-full-of-people-five-hours-of-cooking cookout).

But the past few days, I've been going full speed ahead.

Today I woke up to some signs that weren't good. Not what I want to see first thing in the morning.

So I'm on the strictest orders (from my husband, obviously ;-) ) to do nothing but rest today. So far I've taken him to the doc, gone to the pharmacy, fought with the insurance company, went grocery shopping, watered the plants out back, cleaned the kitchen, and prepped chicken enchiladas.

Yup, sounds like I'm doing really well at this resting thing!

Thank goodness I'm me, because I'd hate to have to take care of me as a patient. I'm the worst at listening and following orders. Thankfully my husband loves me just the same! He's even stayed married to me a whole year as of this weekend! I love him!
