Polka Dot Design

My mom & I are busy planning my wonderful cousin Michael's shower. He is marrying Claudine, a total sweetheart. Mikey & I are only a few months apart in age, and we've grown up pretty much attached at the hip. I love him so much, and I'm so excited that he is getting married! I'm honored to be involved with his shower.

Naturally, I want the best for my cousin. My mom found these great palm tree box things that we decided to use as favors (filled with our favorite Jelly Belly jelly beans, of course). With that, a palm tree theme was set. (Oh, and they are having a beach wedding, so it fits the overall feel as well.)

Armed with this info, I set out to find the perfect wedding shower invitations. I had envisioned something nice, wedding-themed, with palm trees, but still casual, as Mike & Claudine are a rather casual couple.

My mind immediately went to the site we used for our rehearsal dinner invitations- Polka Dot Design.

I loved our Rehearsal Dinner invites and was amazed at how simple and affordable it was to get the invitations, have them printed, and mailed. All within 5 days. They were absolutely perfect!

I expected no less on this new search for Mike's shower. And I wasn't let down. I could not have designed a better invitation. The cost of the invite includes printing- in any font and ink color. They are absolutely affordable (I think I paid $1.75 an invitation). Seriously, where can you find that? For a small fee, they are printing my return address on the envelope. It took me all of five minutes to order (after the two hours I agonized over the font...poor mom got dragged into the last hour).

So, if you are ever in need of invitations, or even stationery, check them out. I promise, you will not be disappointed! Heck, I even want to have a random party just so I can have an excuse to order more! This could turn into a problem...

Pictures of me & Mikey

This was our senior year of high school. We went to France to
visit our cousin Brian. We also took a side trip to Italy. Best 2 1/2
weeks EVER! We are on the plane in this picture.
This is summer of 2005 or 2006. Can't remember. Mike
was just out of the Marines, I think.
This is the happy couple, from behind (only one I could
find, sorry guys!) at my wedding.

Yay! They are fabulous! I had to change my order (add invites) after I'd sent it in. I figured they'd make me do a new order. Nope, fixed it in about 10 seconds. Couldn't ask for nicer people!
